The LCCE Choir is open to children aged 7-16 who are passionate about singing. Formal previous training is not required, but the members must enjoy rehearsing and performing in a group setting.

Every summer, the LCCE Choir joins LCCE Orchestras to intensively rehearse for 1-2 weeks, followed by a formal public performance. Repertoire are diverse, which include both classical Chinese and western songs, as well as arranged modern and children songs. The followings are some examples of the songs that were performed during the previous concerts:

  • Pachelbel’s Canon of Peace
  • Medieval Gloria
  • For the Beauty of the Earth
  • Shine Your Way
  • Sally Gardens
  • Somewhere Over the Rainbow
  • Dreamers
  • Green Eggs and Ham
  • 让我们荡起双桨
  • 送别
  • 西风的话
  • 采莲谣
  • 红蜻蜓
  • 茉莉花

There are many other opportunities when LCCE are invited to perform at various events. These typically entail a shorter rehearsal (between half to two days), and then a performance. Notices are given prior to the events for participation.
